NEWS – OPEN DESTINATIONS JOINS CONFERENCE SESSIONS AT TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY EUROPE

The senior team from Open Destinations will be hitting the main stage once again at this year’s show, participating in three of the planned conference sessions that are focused on tour operator challenges.

•  Industry veteran Brian Mebourne (SVP Technology), will be bringing his experience from Open Destinations and GTA to the  speaker panel ‘Agile enough? Sprints or leisurely walks? Software development best practice.’ Brian will be drawing on his leadership of the agile framework deployed across the Open Destinations development process.

•  Flexibility is at the heart of Open Destinations system architecture enabling integration with rapidly changing distribution channels.  CEO Kevin O’Sullivan will explain this capability in the ETOA panel session ‘Online, offline – who cares? This panel will look at what is on the horizon for the customer travel experience and new disruptions in the online and offline worlds.

•  Phil Napleton (SVP of Products & Professional Services), will join the roundtable discussion ‘Choosing a technology partner.’  Phil will explain how delivery of solutions to meet changing requirements and provide a great return on investment is central to Open Destinations relationship with tour operators around the world.

The timing of these conference sessions coincides with a recent report published by Open Destinations, titled ‘Top 5 Technology Challenges in Tour Operating.’  This report was created from worldwide customer feedback during technology projects over the course of 2015. The five challenges were derived from discussions with tour operators around running their technology systems more effectively, such as hosting their technology in the cloud and integrating with channel managers.

The Open Destinations report of the Top 5 Technology Challenges in Tour Operating is now available to download through the Open Destinations website.

The Open Destinations team will be on hand at Stand T184 to demo the latest version of their software.
