NEWS – OPEN DESTINATIONS HITS THE MAIN STAGE AT TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY EUROPE 2015
The senior team from Open Destinations will be joining the discussions on the main stage at this year’s show, sharing their experience of product expansion and technology outsourcing. CEO Kevin O’Sullivan will participate in the panel session of ‘Spreading your product offering’, whilst Phil Napleton, Senior VP of Products & Professional Services, will join the roundtable discussion of ‘Outsource vs in-house.’
The Open Destinations team will also be on hand at Stand T316 to demo the latest version of their flagship software, Travel Studio. The software has gone through a number of recent developments tailored towards tour operators, wholesalers and DMC’s.
NEW FOR TOUR OPERATORS
Complex flight functionality
Tour operators are now provided with more automation of the booking flow interacting with GDS’s. This includes the ability to electronically ticket Amadeus PNR’s within the Travel Studio environment, as well as apply comprehensive mark-up models for different destinations.
Enhanced integration with suppliers
Travel Studio now provides one of the deepest integrations in the industry today, by allowing bookings, amendments and cancellations. Also new for 2015: direct airline integrations with Jetstar, Pegasus and Aer Lingus, as well as integrations with large bedbanks and ground suppliers that include Miki, JacTravel and Diethelm.

NEW FOR WHOLESALERS & DMC’S
A new version of the Channel Manager API
The new API provides clients with options to integrate with a greater number of channel managers, as well as a new reporting mechanism that provides total transparency of all activity. In addition, hoteliers have increased access to update both contracted rates and best available rates (BAR) and are able to better monitor booking confirmations and enquiries. A number of European channel managers have already completed the integration to the new version.
A new ‘off the shelf’ B2B website
This website allows B2B booking functionality for hotels, transfers, excursions and packages, whilst incorporating the existing functionality through the API connectivity. Bookings for the B2B site are directly created within Travel Studio, allowing web bookings to be an integral part of the reservations process. This provides flexibility for operators to control different prices and allocations to different channels, applications and websites online.
