Accor Group selects Open Destinations’ Rail Studio to manage and distribute their “Orient Express – La Dolce Vita” luxury rail offer
Open Destinations, the London-based travel technology company, today announced that ‘Rail Studio’, their flagship solution for rail operators, has been selected by Accor, the world-leading hospitality group. Accor will implement Open Destinations’ SaaS solution to manage and sell their upcoming “Orient Express – La Dolce Vita” trains, which will operate iconic itineraries throughout Italy and beyond.
“This latest partnership further strengthens Open Destinations’ credentials as a leading technology supplier for leisure rail companies worldwide” says Olivier Bressard, Vice President of Sales at Open Destinations. “Accor joins a growing list of established rail operators including Belmond Group, Queensland Rail, Rovos Rail, Alaska Railroad and several others currently relying on Rail Studio to run their rail operations and sell their seats, cabins or packages online and offline.”
By selecting Open Destinations’ cloud-hosted inventory and reservation system, Accor can rely on the best-in-class leisure rail system to manage and sell their new luxury rail offer.
François Mare – Vice President Integrations, Synergies and Strategic projects at Accor – comments: “Rail Studio stood out as a strong contender from the onset of our search for an IT partner for this project. Rail Studio’s rich functionalities and modular model was instrumental in our decision – and so was the agility and flexibility that the Open Destinations team demonstrated during the selection process. We look forward to working with them moving forward and aim to start sales of Orient Express – La Dolce Vita before the year-end.”
Through this agreement with Open Destinations, Accor has elected to work with an industry-renowned technology partner which has been serving a growing portfolio of rail and tour operators over the past two decades with cutting-edge solutions and services.
Rail Studio will offer Accor a complete end-to-end system to process bookings. The cloud-hosted environment sits behind bespoke B2C web pages, and the pages and system are built for self-service and can be accessed by customers and agents through secure logins.
“We are delighted to welcome Accor into our growing community of Rail Studio users.” says Kevin O’Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Open Destinations. “We are more confident than ever in our ability to deliver mission-critical services for rail operators around the world with our customer-centric and functionally rich Rail Studio suite.”
